No. He really commited a suicide, consciously. He lost something so important to him when he grew that he wanted to kill himself.

Congratulations, Bloopy! That's correct!
That's not possible. The world's shortest man is about 50cm high. He wouldn't be able to reach any of the buttons on the lift. Buttons on lifts are at least 1 metre high.
