Hmmm... browse other threads... I found something that could help you.
Is this thread getting too long?

I'd be happy if you told us the answer, we are tired of guessing!

He was working in a lighthouse (which he lived in). He make sure that everything works at night so that every ship can safely navigate.
As this man switched the lights off, he also switched the lightshouse's main light accidently, so ships couldn't navigate properly.
In the morning when he looked out of the window he saw that his mistake caused a shipwreck and masses of people had come to help the passengers, just watch and write stories and so on...
The man felt so guilty that he decided to end his life.
Ok, did I give you any false info? If so: I'm terribly sorry, I won't do this again.

For one thing if I was in control of this lighthouse i would be in total despair but I really wouldnt kill myself if only to not add an extra death on the toll.

that's right. You have to place yourself in his shoes, not yours.
And then walk off.

Classic thread.
edit: TheAbdBoy, you fail. Atomic posted basically that same exact riddle on page 13 of this thread.
Have a riddle:
What's a fraction of a pixel in size and still getting smaller, but has the fate of the human race resting upon it?

That explains why i knew the answer when someone asked me...
Have a riddle:
What's a fraction of a pixel in size and still getting smaller, but has the fate of the human race resting upon it?
Is the answer the Universe?
Is it the earth?
Amirite?
