that's right, my worms fan-art's getting an extra dimension!
I'd like some feedback on the shape before I go into detail on this.

Reminds me of chicken nuggets. Also looks like a duck. Or a worm.
Are you using TrueSpace for that?

Well it still looks like a chicken nugget. One of those animal shaped ones. I dunno how the hell I got duck, but it looks like a bird.

A duck would have a bigger head (for it's beak). The worm looks too squarish in my opinion..

figues.....that's the hardest spot to work on because of a cluster of unruly vertexes that are out to kill me of frustration.

thank you! at least SOMEONE thinks so!
I was expecting "this spot isn't quite smooth" instead I'm getting "that looks like a chicken nugget"

It looks like the head and tail are separate shapes stuck to each other, rather than a part of one body. The top left of the head looks like a corner, rather than a round shape. That, and the transition between the "chin" and the neck should be smoother.
Good enough as a starting point for a decent model, though. Ask Kjatte for tips

You should take both of those to mean pretty much the same thing!
I think there's a few parts on your model which you could smooth a bit more, like along the side of the tail.

trust me, i know. it's a pain to do it, but I know it need doing.

that's odd considering it was all one shape from start to where it is now.

He's right tho. It does look like two shapes. Give more volume to the cheeks and it should be fine.
