Oh goody.
What are E numbers 700-899 usually grouped as?
I would also like to say that books such as Schotts Original Misellany(sp) are extremly good for this sort of thing

just a guess
food colourings?
Schott's miscellany is a few metres away but I won't be checking...
ed: I think whoever posted the question about groups of animals ages ago had been reading it.

Artifical Colourings/flavourings/preservatives.
Or are you after something more specific?

RM, youve just decribed E-numbers 100-299 and 900-999.
None of you are even close. I thinks its time googling was aloud, and people with Schott's Miscellany actually used them for once

erm.. I looked in schott's miscellany, and what you're saying makes no sense.
There is no group 800-899, the closest is 700-899 and those are listed as "not used for human food additives"
food colours are 100-199, flavourings are 600-699 and preservatives are 200-299.
900-999 doesn't cover any of what readme said. It says here: "surface coating agents, gases, sweeteners"
edit: in-fact I can see you changed the question since I answered it. (and also since I looked in the book this morning)
