Freshman Biology. We spent an entire day talking about the platypus .
Alright, next question:
In a standing wave, where are the nodes located?
Good luck with that.

iirc the nodes are the points at which the reflection of the wave are in antiphase.

In a standing wave... all points are in antiphase, as all points are directly opposite their counterpart on the other wave. I'm looking for the specific point(s) where a node is located.
Here's a hint: There's one more node than antinode in any standing wave.

No, it's not a number, it's a specific point. I'm just saying that there will be less antinode points than node points in a standing wave.

Yeah, that's correct. If you want to put that in words:
Nodes are the sections on a standing wave where complete destructive interference occurs.
Similarly, anti-nodes are the sections on a standing wave where maximum amplitude occurs, thus why there have to be less anti-nodes than nodes (anti-nodes can only occur between two nodes).

here's a hard one - 24 hours before you can google for the tax bands.
if i earn £35000 in a year, how much tax would i pay if i lived in the UK on the default tax code?

i've decided to make this one of those nearest number questions - closest person at 24 hours wins

£4690.
it sounds like it might be too low to me, I was guessing at tax bands / percentages, just can't quite remember them.
All I'd have to do is look at a past paper though.. heh
