If you bothered to watch/read the news, you would have noticed some wench bitching about Manhunt because some guy killed her son.. She's blaming it on violent games, and so are the police. Well, Do you guys ever play Q3 and get the URGE to kill people with a railgun? Since when the hell do you copy what you do on games? I mean... It's not like you play W:A and get the urge to bounce around on a rope. Let's make a petition to ban old people from bitching about violent games.

What are your thoughts?

Yeah I agree with SPAZ. Little kids copy somethings in wrestling, but they never copy killing games. Any person with some intelligence can see that. Old people just like to blame it on stuff they don't like. Just like my parents. "Oh that computer makes you lazy" "Oh I should throw that computer out" "Bla bla bla, computer.."

Ahh My mum just mentioned it when I went downstairs. She said "Have you got the game Manhunt?" And I'm like "No". I told her to go and ask the murderer why he did it. :mrgreen:

I've got GTA and the GetAway and I'd never dream about killing people in real life. I'd never be able to live with myself. It's also illegal.

They have to blame it on something, so they blame it on stuff they don't know about, which they think is 'dangerous'. Only sick people would even think of killing people after playing violent games.

Indeed. It's down to the ignorant population of humans who make the good seem bad. Who the hell in their right mind would play a game and decide to kill people for fun? I'm surprised some people believe all this stuff, even if they do know absolutely nothing about it they should know well enough that playing a game doesn't make you want to kill someone. Here's a quote:

Video games don't affect us, I mean if Pacman affected us as kids we'd all be running around darkened rooms munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

There was once a article about vidio games and how it affects people in a gaming mag done by some scientists, vidio games DO affect us, but not in that way or those ways. Few people has died because of games and the way they have affected somebody. Unless there mentaly disordered or sick minds; I doubt anyone would go around killing for the fun, or racing around in cars throwing sea shells from the windows. Or for the matter of that, making worms fight in a super market.

If that was towards the article, one person died from a vidio game direcly from them, but only because he has some thing where he was veny sensative the bright and flashing lights, he was on mario kart and fainted, fell back, and smashed his head on a table. His mum tried to sue nintendo.
