Yes, and Halo isn't JUST on the Xbox either. Nintendo: Mario. An Italian plumber. THE icon of gaming. Pretty much everybody who's ever played a video game knows who he is. Microsoft: Halo... only one game (so far). Sure, the game is legendary, but the character really isn't all that memorable and has virtually no personality. The Xbox simply hasn't been around long enough to have memorable characters with personality.

Nintendo, IMO the king of all consoles, it rules. You get ps2, with there games, zbox, same.. then, theres ninty! it has just about everything a gamer needs, hardcore action, child games, mario, link, all those and more, you got, what.. gta on p2s? and then you get a swearing squirrel and a plumber on ninty.. hell yeah!

Yes, but where are the RPGs on the Gamecube. I'm talking about things like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Dragon Quest, Wild Arms, Front Mission, and even Brave Fencer Musashi (yes, they're making a new one ). Nintendo may be good for alot of things, but they don't have a very strong presence in the RPG department (at least on Gamecube).

Yeah FF:CC was a heap of horse sh*t.
The SNES was best for RPGs IMO.. Infact I think most people would say it was the best.

If you didn't say "(at least on Gamecube)", I would have said you were dead wrong. Nintendo made all the greatest RPGs. Like Final Fantasy, Zelda, etc.

whats the diff between an rpg and something that has a persistant world like everquest? apart from the peresistant world bit. and the number of players isnt everquest or even online Neverwinter nights. Just RPGs?

well there's an rpg which tens to follow a mostly linear storyline. And then there's the mmorpg, which is just a big persistant world where although there are storylines and subquests, the onus is on training a character, and not story.

Actually, after Final Fantasy 1, Nintendo never published another Final Fantasy game. FF1 was such a huge success that they could both develop and fund their own games.

I totally agree. Besides, everyone already knows that Microsoft is the devil (well, Bill Gates is, and the rest of the corporation is his demonic lair) .
(i like to post late)
I hate people bitching about Microsoft. YOU USE WINDOWS AND LOVE IT. You know you'd be bored as hell without it, and 80% of the BTPers don't have a chance with linux. Bill Gates doesn't screw you anyway, stop thinking what other people think :/
And everyone that thinks Window's crashes every 3seconds. It doesn't, Get away from 98 you dumbass. XP has managed to survive for a month without needing a reboot (I had to install a new driver)
