How can ur skool filter sumthing that can't be viewed on the page? Since u must click the edit button before it appears in the first place..

Because it's probably still in the HTML file, just like you can view anons with a bit of searching (I think you can still do that...).

Well, I tested it, and when I viewed the source code the censoring was still there. So... there's really not a reason why it would still be blocking it. But I did notice that not all words that would be considered swear words are censored (ex: hell isn't). That *might* cause a problem with the school's filter...

true, but you only see your own posts, we see all of them, and the qedits don't always seem to be filtered.

ANd yes, there's only about 5 words in there atm. heh.

I get the feeling you haven't been keeping up with the conversation much. They've said that their school internet filters out web sites with obscene content and foul language, and so if the site censors the obscenities, they should still be able to access said site from said school/nursery network.

Well, they're not really glorified baby-sitters. They're more like glorified-baby-sitters-that-have-gotten-a-college-degree-to-teach-something-while-babysitting baby-sitters.

Personally, I'm not too worried if that swear filter works correctly. They *think* they have a filter on that will block sites with swearing on it, but they really don't (heh). But, as we've already covered, there is a problem (albeit somewhat cooling off) of swearing on BTP, so we do need it.

Well what if it auto-matically changed the swear word? Like as soon as u post it changes fuck to f*ck. Then if you have the swear filter disabled then it changes f*ck to fuck. So in default the f*ck would appear in the qedit. And as for the posts already posted u can just use a search function and find all the posts with swears in them and change it. Tho i would back up the forum tables just in case.

Not a bad idea, but it wouldn't work.
