in PSP, textures are applied to the brush style you're working on. White means draw, black means dont. So selecting the texture i described and using the flood fill tool would create a scanlines image similar to what you're looking for as big as the canvas.

in psp u'll see four boxes that look like colour selectors. The top two are colour selectors, the bottom two allow you to apply brush styles. If you use the image i decribed earlier onto the bottom boxes you'll get the scanlines effect that is being described.

YAY i figured out the black lines thing bloopy has on his site and told me about. WOHOO! but my map w/ that got only 2 stars. :('. Y dosnet n e like the simpsons??!
