I cant figure out how 2 make my pictures right for my maps. I want 2 know how u paste black lines onto the picture so it dosent look messed up in teh game. PlZ help

It took me a while to get it right, if i do, but what i do it give a low diffusion percentage in Adobe Photoshop when changing the picture to black and white (by limiting colors to two, forget with what tool), but not so low that there are gaps in the picture. then you probably need a border to that you dont have lone pixels that would mess up someone roping along the picture. it can take a while.

well if you haven't read this page, u should:

as long as you are not using MS Paint, you can use a magic wand selection tool to select all the black lines, then copy and paste those lines onto the image that you are going to convert to black and white. When you convert to black and white choose Dither-->"Diffusion" if you can.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels? |

i think he meant black lines goving ova the top of a copy and pasted picture so that u could you could make it look like the ones in worm maps.

also known as: scanlines. horizontal lines running down the screen every other pixel, 1 pixel high.

If you draw a big fat block of terrain then worms puts a texture on it. And that tends to mess up images a bit. But if you put a horizontal white line 1 pixel high then worms leaves it to be gray. The way to get all bits of terrain on the map no more than 1 pixel high is to make every second line of pixels black, hence the black lines Maps using this turn out great, check out how the statue on my Metallica fly shopper turned out, almost too good to be true

oh right, the blinds filter in PSP will do that, just set it to height 1 top to bottom and zero blur

I made me a 'scanlines.bmp' or something, a fairly large scanlines... bitmap.

can you not do a 1x2px bmp with one black and one white pixel and use that as a texture?

ya but thats not for a texture but a put over a image so it turns out good in the game line picture.

If you were to tile the 1x2px bmp as a texture, you would need to be able to copy and paste a half transparent image. I don't think my old version of PhotoImpact can do this, but I could probably do it in the new version.
