since i made some working maps, yes i am.
this map still doesnt work proper, but i made two other maps that work! anybody that wants to check two nice flymaps out, search in the database for user "LaWxGuard"! both maps work perfect and i think they are pretty good.
still this third map which i talk of has this grinderproblem...

That's what a BIT version of that map would look like... You have a bunch of solid colours in it. And when I played it, I saw no girders.

...but you know that those colors are encoded to textures because every color gets transformed in a shape of grey?
all my maps look like this and it does pretty well (see map-making-tutorial)
however, very strange that you had no girders.

Bitmonkey auto-grayscales the image. I wonder why it didn't that time. I just went back to do it again, and it turned out grayscaled and not solid. Huh. Either way, the terrain takes up the same amount of playable space. This girder problem is beginning to look unsolvable.

The map needs more space for placing worms, that's why it's placing those girders.
Or, get Worms Armageddon where the latest updates allow you to turn them off no matter how short of space the map is.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels? |

If it doesn't add girders, you win the game.
If it adds girders, there's not enough spacious terrain for placing worms. Post your map up and I'll have a look at it if you want.
