well to find out the port wont be that hard.
Its more the will of our admin to open ports.
he is a bit paranoid...
no need to say more

what I mean is, if that client port setting lets you choose the port, do you then know of any ports that are open which you could use instead?
like I say I have no idea if the client port setting actually does that.

i know some ports that are opened and i tried to use them in tmn. it didnt work so i expect them not to work here.
but ill give it a try.
Edit:
I gave it a try... looks like the ports 2350 and 3450 need to be open and just these ports. any other ports wouldnt work i think because no other server uses other ports òÓ

I would've thought that the ports are just whatever ports you use on your end, and the connection gets translated to whatever ports they choose to use at the other end. I had custom ports in TMN and was still able to play fine. However, in TMU, my connection lags badly and it's hard to tell what's going wrong, so I've opened the default ports for TCP & UDP.

I think we will do so too. The admin and me Checked the default ports and we came to the result that they are not a harm to the network -.-
Btw. Bloopy didnt i beat one of your times in Desert last night?!

I seem to have solved my lag problem by disabling the PeerToPeer advanced options "Enable download" and "Enable upload". I'll see how I go...
Btw. Bloopy didnt i beat one of your times in Desert last night?!
I dunno, I haven't looked.

I have in fact used BTP's crude thread splitting feature to give us this separate TMU thread. The replies didn't get counted and RunT's name got copied across.
I have updated my Teddy Bear track for TMU:
Expect a sequel too!

Mine has arrived! But seeings as I'm getting my PC back tomorrow, there no point in my installing it on the laptop (it won't run too well anyway)
However, my monitor has just been taken in to sort out the burn in (still on warranty) so I won't have a monitor to hook up to my PC. Unless I get the old 15" out, but don't really want to...

Has anyone managed to finish the PuzzleD3 Track?
It's pretty annoiing not to reach the Finishline...
For anyone who dont knows, that track has 3 turbos pointing down hill and away form the finish the start is at the floor and you just have one turbo and no possability to build something uphill.

I just tried it now and I managed to do it. I used most of the blocks. I don't know how someone did it in less than 11 seconds though.
Of course, you can download a replay to find out... Spoiler (Click to Expand)
damn, should've thought to drive over your booster more than once!
