Well, no. At least, my BIOS didn't do any of the codes you have suggested when i took out the memory to check:lol:

I looked on the web and theres a bit of conflicting information, so the answer is from what happens to my computer (and yes I definatly have an Award BIOS).

I had a memory problem. One of my memorybars decided to make a bbq without asking me, so that memorybank is not for use anymore luckily the other 2 are still working

My computer (award bios etc.) would do a long beep whenever any kind of hardware (hdd, ram, cpu, whutever) was disconnected...
