Well, I thought about it for some time and it needed to be done. The Unofficial Hosting thread (since we can't make official threads).
I hope no one else posted this, and I was also expecting an admin to do something like this. I think all I can do is post this, and let other people post solutions that helped them, and solutions they no of, of hosting. There are probably 100 threads saying "I can't host" including one of mine, who knows, maybe we can prevent that.... Maybe.... So yeah, ideas, links, including other forum links, all that.. Would be umm... Helpful.
For those of you seeing this thread and haven't visited the programs section which is here, the hosting helper programs are:
- "WWP Launch" by Seita
- "WWPipe" by hud (yes, it can help...)
- "Worms IP Override" by wTToDamocles1
And remember my freinds, you know the drill, check for firewalls you have on, and/or you may have to forward your ports if you have a router... So yeah, will this be an announcement or sticky or what?

*sigh* methought you would make a more thurough tutorial but I guess I'll do it
----------------------------------
Kay.
FOR WWP:, I suggest using the programs listed above as Zippy mentioned.
FOR W:A or anything else: Below.
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::]
FORWARDING PORTS
REMEMBER.
Turn off all firewalls (duh)
Wireless or not, if its a router its usually also called a firewall. Getting past this requires ports to be forwarded.
For those who don't know where or what the hell to do, on your addressbar above, type in the IP of your router. Mine is the basic basic default of 192.168.0.1 (or 192.168.1.1 in my recent case)
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
---
Now, the popup box that you'll see to enter the router... the default Username will usually be : admin, user, or some shizzle like that.
The password for most routers is usually: password, pass or 1234.
If you still can't figure out what they are, find the manuel or search your router online for details.
On the router page, look for the port forwarding link.
Click Spoiler for details
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
Now. Remember, this is the only router I can get too, but this should be the same to all.
On port forwarding page, it should list (none if new user) ports being forwarded.
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
[/spo iler]
On the empty form where you go to add in all the right parts...
Name: can be anything. its just a label
Start port: 17010
End port: 17012
^ start and end just means all the numbers in between. this includes the 17011.
Protocol: ignore and set to Both
Local IP: The computer playing the game. In my case, my local IP is 11 but changes to 10 from time to time, so I added both in case.
Once your done, add. Walla, W:A's ports are forwarded. (but not done yet! skip the step below if you already know about it)
[::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::]
FINDING LOCAL IP
(THIS IS FOR USERS WHO DON'T KNOW THEIR COMPUTERS LOCAL IP ADDY FOR FORWARDING THEIR PORTS)
Kay, if your not sure where to find out what your local IP is (as it is important), go to;
Start, click control panel.
We are gonna assume the default view, so click Network and Internet Connections, or Internet Connections for classic viewers.
[/s poiler]
Next there will be a listing of connections. For me, theres one which is this computer thats connected to the internets. Right click it, and click Status
[/spoi ler]
On the popup, click the Support tab and it will have the info about your stuff.
Look at IP address, as that will show what the computers IP will be that you will need to enter during your port forwarding thing.
Default Gateway is your router, just so you know
[/spoi ler]
[::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::]
FORCE IP
Now that the proper ports have been forwarded, open W:A.
On wormnet, click Configuration.
Note: My W:A style is different, but its still W:A
[/spo iler]
On that page, insert your Internet IP address, then tick Force IP. Exit, walla.
[/spo iler]
To find your internet IP addy, go to http://www.whatismyip.com
[::::::::::::::::]
[::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::]
That concludes my tutorial on hosting on W:A as these steps got me hosting the first time.
If theres anything missing or moderators would like to add, go nuts.
Any user can post
okay, finished methinks
edits: images restored o.<
edit again: damn you knifa! quit messing with teh imageboards !
edit again 3x: Wtfux. Uploaded again but without the C1 faggotree.

For information on forwarding ports for your specific hardware, visit http://www.portforward.com . That website contains a plethora of information with easy guids on how you should go about forwarding ports for almost any hardware.
If you cannot host after following the steps of forwarding ports and forcing ip and such, then launch wormsipoverride.exe, click "ok" to anything that pops up and enter your ip address into the input box and strike the enter key. Also enter your IP into WWP/WA as explained in Pioneer322's post.
wormsipoverride.exe can be found here.
To extract the file from the rar file, go to http://rarlabs.com/ and download winrar.

if your Wintoss doesn't find your right IP:
while you within the router to do the port-forward,
go to the status-page; the IP given by your ISP is right *there*

reinstall your routers drivers
... or look it up? not a good idea to just change the default user and pass just to forget it later

well it's a good idea to change the pass but it's not a good idea to forget it.
If you have changed it reinstalling a driver won't help, you'll probably need to completely reset your router to factory settings. I'm guessing there might be some kind of hard to press button on your router for doing that. Otherwise you can probably read the manual / google for how to reset it.
Then you can log in with the default username and password which is normally fairly easy to find on the internet.

On my router there is a button where you need a pin to press it.
Just read what your hardware's manual has to say.

*cries* I am doomed to never host I think.. I have forarded ports.. forced my IP and done everthing that pioneer has told me to try.. even the programs that are supposed to allow me to host.. dont work.. *cries some more* i have the Ultimate Map Pack... and its USELESS... and now.. it will be extra hard for me to test new maps that I make... and another thing.. I NEVER SEE A DAMN BATTLE RACE IN AG... and I would host them but.. you know that requires me to be able to host... *sigh* i hate the WNet.. Team17 and their damn router issues.. what the hell was the point in all of this.. did they make a programming error... or were they just lazy... or maybe the first one because of the second one... blah.. whatever...

Well, you can always Enable your DMZ. Just activate your firewall so you don't get haxed.
