You’ve probably heard of Jack Thompson, the Miami attorney and anti-gaming activist, who has been known for quite a long time for his strong opinions against video-game violence. Thompson was among those who spearheaded the recent effort to slap an "Adults Only" rating on Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, but has had something against this game for a long time, seeing that in the past, he's represented defendants who have been the victims of GTA-inspired crimes, including the triple homicide of three police officers by an 18-year-old boy in Alabama, according to GameSpot.

His problem he had with San Andreas was that it contained some bits of unused code that depicted sexual acts. These minigames can be unlocked by using game-cheat devices or patches available on the Internet.

Thompson is on a roll...and he's not done yet. His latest goat is a game that doesn't involve guns, carjacking, or prostitutes: He's going after Electronic Arts' The

Sims 2.

In a statement sent today to press outlets, Thompson focuses on dismantling the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and exposing what he calls the industry's "latest dirty little secret." The secret's out now, and it involves nude sims.

In the statement, Thompson says, "Sims 2, the latest version of the Sims video game franchise ... contains, according to video game news sites, full frontal nudity, including nipples, penises, labia, and pubic hair."

He then cites a cheat code that can remove the blur that covers the nether regions. "The nudity placed there by the publisher/maker, Electronic Arts, is accessed by the use of a simple code that removes what is called 'the blur' which obscures the genital areas. In other words, the game was released to the public by the manufacturer knowing that the full frontal nudity was resident on the game and would be accessed by use of a simple code widely provided on the Internet."

It's not just the adults that are liberated from their wardrobes. Sims kids can also be nudified, "much to the delight, one can be sure, of pedophiles around the globe who can rehearse, in virtual reality, for their abuse."

Were this to be true, Thompson would have his smoking gun, and EA would be forced to recall all copies of The Sims 2. However, it's what's under the blur that Thompson's after. And what happens when the blur is lifted? A simple mannequin-esque smooth body, according to EA.

Jeff Brown, vice president of corporate communications at EA, in response to the accusations, told GameSpot, "This is nonsense. We've reviewed 100 percent of the content. There is no content inappropriate for a teen audience. Players never see a nude sim. If someone with an extreme amount of expertise and time were to remove the pixels, they would see that the sims have no genitals. They appear like Ken and Barbie."

Thompson doesn't buy it. "The sex and the nudity are in the game. That's the point. The blur is an admission that even the 'Ken and Barbie' features should not be displayed. The blur can be disarmed. This is no different than what is in San Andreas, although worse."

For the whole article, please visit GameSpot. :D , this is crap those people worry too much about videogames, somedays in the past kissing on the streets was punished by law, and also comics suffered the same procedure as videogames because some people thought that comics were too violent and that they turned readers into criminals, lol, I think that this is absolutely ridiculous, now considering those allegations about nudity I think that if companies would like to give codes for nudity or something they should release two different products, in this case one Sims2 without that code and another Sims 2 with that nudity code for Adults, lol, hope those people dont exagerate with game's violence restrictions.

Life and everything in it affects people's minds. Care to censor all of that too? (not speaking to you, just in general).

Agreed with Pope

There are worse things in the TV news than in the video games, because, violence in videogames is fiction and violence in TV news is real life

See, making posts and opinions like that just shows why there are age ratings on games nowadys.
Without age ratings, any game could run wild and free with people of any age playing them.
But with ratings, clerks can ask for ID for lets say (15 or 18 rated games, UK only)

You know, I sent him an email a few weeks ago over video game violence, and he called me junior .

Seriously, if you didn't see this coming out of the flying idiot, then you need to get your eyes checked.

Oh yeah, it was obvious it was going to come up at some point.
It was waiting for the right person to mention it :P

Anyways, video game violence / sex / mature language is meant for aged personel only
(repeat of first post but more in depth)

So violence, sex and mature language should be shielded away from a youth then given full access to it at 18 when they're meant to be mature. How can you be mature about a subject you've not experienced before...

I suggest a double helping to South Park to all children on their 13th birthday!

Now Postal 2 deserves to be banned more than GTA and The Sims 2 put together.
For those who have played will possibly agree with me.
For those who haven't, I suggest you try get hold of a copy, play it and see for yourself.

I don't need to get a copy and play it, I've seen enough from the game reviews that were on G4. That is one MESSED UP game, I'd say it's even worse than Manhunt.

Postal 2 is not worse than Manhunt no way!
IF you have played and finished Manhunt that game is one word... sick.

Postal 2 is just funny violence.

I suppose that's one "good" thing about my degree (aero engineering), there aren't too many terms/words/etc that have "alternative" meanings.
What, like cockpits, turboshafts, thrust, nozzles, corkscrews, ram drag, payload, flaps, and wind tunnels?

Postal 1 was released for 3 days before taken off the shelf.
I'm not quite sure about Postal 2, but I own an offcial copy and I throughly enjoy messing around / playing on it.

Does anyone agree with me when I say it's a fun violence game compared to serious death like of Manhunt?

Edit: Corrected spelling mistakes.
