A friend of mine said IE was severely dissed on another board (not worms related, wipeout zone if u must know) and that firefox was the king of browsers. Anyone here think the same, does IE suck ass? I have IE btw.

IE has so many things wrong with it, that I never realized until I recently switched to firefox, and let me tell you, I wouldn't switch back unless I had no choice.

Firefox is way better. I used to use IE, and then downloaded Firefox just to test how my site looked in that browser, and I've been using Firefox since then.

/me reckons if we all used .png images on our websites then eventually people would have to change over to firefox, or either that microsoft would release a patch to fix that bug

yup, Bill would have to release a patch, but it would have bugs in it so he would then say "as with all Microsoft problems we will just ignore it and it will go away" or something similar

I hate Internet Explorer with all my heart. No popup blocker, no tabs, very stupid with images, and the list could go on and on.

I am sorry about sounding like a loner here, but I fail to see why Firefox is "way better" or "the shit". Honestly, I tried it out, and there were not too many major differences I noticed. I still have it on my computer, but I only use it when there are PNGs I cannot see in Internet Explorer... not too often.

If you're going to have everyone rate me down to 1 or PM bomb me with a million messages saying "YER GAY IE USER" I don't give a damn... no matter how you prod people and scream "IE sucks" there will still be some IE users out there who don't give a crud about alternate browsers.

There are loads of things Firefox can do that IE can't, including built in pop-up blocker, image blocker, much much faster, tabs for viewing multiple pages, and extensions. Oh, there's also that kewl search bar on the top right corner which you can add engines too.

Seriously, it's much better.

Internet Explorer may have more features than Firefox, but Firefox at least is faster. Its exactly what I need.

It's more than faster. It loads images that IE doesn't such as .png images.
It gets flooded with spy-ware, it's ugly and it's by Microsoft

No it doesnt, you just dont know how to use the features
And dont forget about skins and plug-ins!
