In the game we played in school. You could grow feidls of weed or hemp, and use it for economic trade between other countrys, but also you could get busted by the "UN" for it.
Mabey we could have a sort of "United Nations" for the game?

What's the point of food? We won't die. I think, more things, such as buy machinery (made from mining metallic materials) and with machinery, make more machiner. That is, after you mine the minerals. Then sell any other minerals, or make it into machinery and sell that.

If anything, that map is too small C1... atleast for the number of people who wish or will want to particapate....
We need to make the game like risk, but a little bit more complex... but NOT TOO complex... as what is being planned so far...
If anything we should start with something basic, then work our way up from it.
Make the game... see how it goes... then make or remove additions, depending on the "game play" of the whole thing.
This is why I suggested that the game be reseted every once in a while... so we could get used to changes if needed.
As for a map... we need something unique. Mabey one LARGE land mass devided into countrys and several islands surrounding the "main" island with "connection points", much like in the game of risk (connection points).
We need to rethink all these ideas if we want this to work, and it needs be programmable without problems.
Like most games, they start off from a set of original ideas... then grow... all we are doing right now is doing ideas... we are getting way ahead of ourselfs.
Someone needs to start the programming now... THEN and only then we add ideas.

That would be good, but it would be hard to fit that into the game.
Well, it could go something like this:
Machiner: bonus to machine weaponry, and has a higher repair ability.
Theif: bonus to speed in battles (and stealing if that's implemented).
King: bonus to money
Embassador: bonus to trade
Warrior: bonus to hand-to-hand weaponry, raises character recovery rates.
Builder: bonus to building (of course)
Admin: bonus to computerized weaponry, raises technology.
Of course, that would just make the game more of a pain in the ass to code, so let's just leave it out...

I calculated this DJ. And how many people do you exactly think will play? 20 people per country, with 6 countries, plus a outcast country. That's 120 people, that can fit in the countries, plus the outcast country. So that's about 140. And to join the game, you have to play, you have to have 50 posts. And I doubt 140 people have 50 posts. Plus, we can always add on or allow more people into countries. As I said tho, as well, you may add on to the map Dj. Feel free.

Aside from your facts....
Which I did not calculate into my post (becuase of NUMBER of BTP users and HOW OFTEN they are online)
We still need to start from an original program... which then, and ONLY then we should and could add ideas.
Look at this website... We slowly add ideas... but for the most part it has worked better than it has before, becuase of this (slowly adding ideas). Why? becuase of ideas that have been added due to experience from poeple that have been on the site...
If anything... we must program a simple basis of the game... and THEN add our ideas.
I am not sure as the number of people who will want to play at first... but you know it will always grow and grow in numbers.
And as more poeple join the game... then, and only then, we should start adding our crazy ideas for the game...
WE NEED A BASE IDEA TO START ON!
SOMEONE MAKE THE GAME... and we will go from there.

Are all graphics going to be pixel art based ? C1's map suggests pixel art could be used.
