I just thought up an idea for a new clan whilst playing a flyshoppa. This clan will be called WAN - The War Against Noobs clan. This clan will despise noobs of all kinds but hail fellow experienced players. It will engage in challenges with other clans and strive 2 wipe noobs from the face of the earth. The clan will not follow a particular game type thus open to all types of gaming, from rope race to Wascar. So what do u think?

Well, I'm member of two french "clans", "communities" would be closer to the real thing, our idea is to have members with good attitude, to play nicely and have fun, which is the purpose of all games. We are not "l33t", but some of us rope very well, and know how to do all those nice rope figure we all like to see, and do. Some others don't; but they are cool and respect all rules, and we have fun with them, for sure.

But the "noob-pb" so to speak, is not a true problem, if you mean a noob is just an inexperienced guy, well, kicking him won't fix the problem, and this way he will never learn... I prefer to see a new player (which is not a newbie, to me), who wants to learn. Then we explain him how to rope, and the rules. That, in my opinion, is the only way to carry on with worms and to have more players sharing game pleasure. If this guy plays well later, well mission accomplished, we made the worms community grow.

But well, each clan has it's own rules and priorities. I understand a clan want to play only with top ropers, it's cool to see and is part of gaming pleasure. So, wiping noobs from earth is good as long as "noobs" are the guys that now how to play and just want to enter games and cow for pleasure, flood and insult... these are the real "noobs", IMHO.

I thank you two for your views. I will be changing the point of view if WAN begins to form. WAN can become a "training clan" so to speak. WAN will happily take in newbies to the world of worms and train them up to an experienced level. In light of this new change, what do u think now? THe noobs WAN will truly despise r the stupid people who cow for fun and stop people enjoying their games.

Although WAN will centrally be a training clan. WAN will also welcome the experienced players to pass on their knowledge and lead the way in clan battles and leagues.

In the light of this recent change of priorities, what are your opinions now?

I think this new change is good, i like the training concept and agree with the new noob definition, ppl cowing for fun, etc. So this appears to me now much better. May this new clan have a lot of fun, and train some good wormers.
