Nope, I'm pretty sure they keep every member archived. How do you think they ever broke the 10000 member mark?

They don't, they get rid of them after a while. Just before 'In Limbo' was introduced I wondered why it wouldn't let me post and why I was no longer on the members list. I emailed APJ and created a new account to be on the safe side. All I needed to do was change my email address in my profile (since I had changed it). But the other account I had was deleted ages ago, probably about a year ago. I hadn't made any posts with the account.

But if you have posted, it does keep the name even if it has gone inactive (sadly enough). Otherwise, there'd be less than 2000 memebers on T17. They probably need to get rid of some of those old accounts anyway :P.

Whoa! You're right. []Glenn$1didn't pay too much attention to the user count after W3D's release. Hrm... maybe that sort of thing should be implemented in other large forums.
