I use WinAmp for the actual listening, and I use MusicMatch to rip/convert music files.

I don't believe so. You can always try, setting up winamp for DJing isn't a strenuous task.

Why do most ppl in other countries have 56k? Do you need to ship DSL/Cable to those places for something?

and the popular one is "WinAmp". It's a good working program and the visual effects look real cool on it.
