took me approx 1 hour, i made a sprite as a flash movie clip symbol animated with a whole load of shape tweens, then i just played it over and over again moving it along each time.
It's so small cos flash only loads the symbol once which is made up of low size vector objects.

The shape tween looks slightly exaggerated... I'd go for Frame-by-Frame animation. But anyway, pretty good job.

i was considering frame by frame, but i've been fiddling with shape tweens a lot recently, they cut creation time in half easily. Really good for stickmen as well, put each line on it's own layer and use shape tweens to move them, a single shape hint stops them twirling.

Hmm. I noticed something, worms lift their tail up to put it in strechiong position. That's why it looks exaggerated. Mainl;y that's why I go for Frame-By-Frame. And as well as that, you can put frame-By-Frame animations inside movie clips, for using. Another method is creating a character, putting his bodyparts on seperate layers, and motion-tweening them to designated parts to create animations.

i did look at using motion tweens, but in real life body parts stretch and in 2D they would appear to get bigger and smaller as they move along the Z axis, hence why i went for shape tweens.
I could have gone for frame by frame, but the way these worms are drawn that would have almost been a full redraw each time. I saved a lot of time and effort using shape tweens and still endedup up with a pretty good end product.

It isn't that hard. You just use the onion skin tool and redraw it. I wouldn't laze off that easy, Readme.

if i was getting paid for it, i'd have spent hours looking for shortcuts that give a good result so as to maximise earnings from the time spent.
