I get this alot of the time:
This often appears after I've ended the process explorer.exe and then new task it up again.
I often have to do this because the computer becomes unbearable slow. I've gone over my PC with an up to date Ad-Aware 6 and an updated SOPHOS virus scanner. Nothing...
Also, it might be linked with another slow down thing. On most windows, the button that appears in teh taskbar to let you minimize and close and all that, tasks ages to appear or only appears 1/3. Take a look below and see what the button for my 'Images' folder looked like for 20 seconds:
(The Image folder is to the far right)
This has been happening for a long time now; about 4 months, but I've never been bothered to take a screenshot and ask for help here.
TIA
(In future, if you get sick of my problems I'll just go to TechIMO)

explorer.exe sumtimes crashes ur computer if u use ctrl alt delete from a windows computer. It's best to let it close itself. I read in a post sumwhere on this site that it's impossible to delete explorer entirely on windows because it's linked with the rest of ur computer in sum way..

Ignore that. On XP at least, killing explorer doesn't make a shred of difference.
I would help, but I can't see the first image.

There, edited the post.
Oh and explorer.exe allows me to use copy and paste, exporting stuff, the taskbar.
Basically anything in a window or uses an icon, goes away when you end explorer. I wasn't trying to get my PC to work without it, C1.
winlogon.exe seems to be the problem.

That would probably crash ur whole computer. Or it is possible if it's an important component of ur computer..

Being developed by Microsoft? C'mon dude, use your brain. It's just the next in the series of the microsoft OS's. 95, 98, XP and soon to be Longhorn, if that will be the name after all the work has been done...

lognhorn isnt likely to see light until 2006 between then ms are debating a filler version of xp. Sucj as an upgraded one with enhanced virus protection for 64 bit users. This will pribs be xp 64
Pope is the logon.exe not the logon screen?
Anyway the whole unusual way thing is cos you terminated explorer manually. IMO

Oh and you'll be pleased to hear I got my mic working. All i had to do was downlaod an updated driver. Half the time, that's the problem.
Anyway, I'll create some mpeg animation with some voices in it to see how well it works.
