How many different browsers aree there?
Infinite. Well ok, not infinite, but you can't coun them all since any programmer can simply make his own based on either Mozilla or the IE plugin.
If you mean browser basics, then i'd say at least 6: IE, IE Mac, Moz, Opera (i think opera is based on moz, correct if im wrong), Netscape 4, lynx, telnet, etc.
And yes, I *have* used telnet to browse webpages
I personally use Firefox at 1024x768 most of the time. I'd go to 1280x1024, but this moniter is to small to have it look nice.

I have firefox and ie at 1024x768. I use ie for parts of sites that need ie to work. Or if im too lazy to download a plug in from moz.

IE, IE Mac, Moz, Opera (i think opera is based on moz, correct if im wrong), Netscape 4, lynx, telnet,
on the mac there's also Safarim apples own, so you can't really miss it
And under KDE there's Konquerer - but I'm not sure if that's based on something else.
And no, opera is not based on mozilla. It's a seperate rendering engine. And seperate everything else - for that matter.

I meant cb when I said you can't miss it . I don't think anyone really uses safari that also uses the forum. Sfari is the fourth most used browser for this month, with 0.1% of the hits. Which probably came from me, when I happen to use the mac.
IE is top with 83.6%, "Netscape" is second with 11.2%, Opera third with 3.8%. Lynx is down there in 14th with 2 hits.
I could go on for a while like this, but I won't.
I'm not sure what they mean by netscape. I guess they mean it and any of its offspring, cause mozilla isn't on there at-all.
In the unknown section, there's lots of crazy agents, such as
Quotezilla/99.9_(TRS/DOS;_To_err_is_human,_to_moo_bovine)
xsoehmvWf1cllpqwgjxfqWmjce1ndvusqhuvb
(there are lots of these random letters, which is worrying)
I'M_USING_TEH_INTERNET
and the new classic:
Hello,_I_Am_ZoGgEr's_Crazy_Browser_(Version_1000000.02)

I'd assume mozilla would go under netscape seeing that's about the % of mozilla people on the site..

...however, at school I'm expected to use Internet Explorer at 800x600. Not gonna happen.
Fix 1 - http://rdmsoft.com/RESOLUTI.EXE - (which I nicked from somewhere) runs from current location, adds a systray icon, and lets you change resolution.
Fix 2 - I'm getting a USB Hard Drive and putting Firefox on.
(on UAs - Almost every browser calls itself Mozilla in the string. Mozilla is usually Mozilla/5.0.)

hmm, I'd like to be able to change res on a school computer, but we don't even get a start-bar :S
I would also like to have a usb drive, that probably would work at school, then I could have firefox - but probably wouldn't be able to use it, because I don't know the proxy info.
