yes pope, you're right that the things on the screen are smaller at a higher resolution, but what I meant was that the amount of screen space was smaller at lower resolutions, there's not enough for my needs.
And r_e, windows does support different resolutions for different users - least in WinME.

heh, it does it for alot of games, why not users too?
and on the unusual resolutions, on the last monitor we had, I had to use 1280 * 1025, because I er... broke... 1280*1024. It worked originally, then one day it got this crazy brown strip accross the top of the screen, so I added an extra 1280 pixels to the screen.

I use Internet Explorer and 1280x960
My sister prefers Netscape 7.1 so that's installed too, and I use the Mail part of Netscape.

What? Is it possible to change the resolution to whatever you like like that?

note: It depends on your monitor - I don't think my current monitor supports it, only my old one
