I seems to me that very many people here at BTP still have 56k modems. I want to know if it's true, because I don't.

yep, 600k down/128k up - the ol NTL package.
wish, BTP tends to be uber slow most of the time, unfortunately.
And yeh psymon, of course downloads from other people are slower, you can only download at their upload speed (max)

I forgot you to tell that I have 512k. Quite speedy, on BTP it depends on which design you have (as with all connections). If you have something with many pics, like the fruity design, it's slow, otherwise it's fast.

3084kbps down / 256kbps up. Cable. I imagine the 3 that put 'something else' have cable, and it should have at least been an option, as I think there are more people out there with cable than dsl (at least, that number is increasing).

*stands up*
My name's tundraH and I still have dialup...
It doesn't bother me that much (mine is reliable and fast as far as 56k goes), but I'd like to get DSL. It's pretty reasonable around here as well - 1GB download limit a day which isn't actually enforced.

I think my country (Sweden) is one of the countries in the world where most people have some type of broadband connection. And I didn't think it was so expensive in New Zealand.
