I have adsl but i dont know actually how fast it is. If sum1 had a site to test it could they link me?

I don't think anyone was posting test results, just the bandwidth they're suppose to be receiving through their respective ISPs.

I have a 56k, but my connection (probably because of my stupid ISP), is only 28k. MY LIFE SUCKS! *sobs* Ah well, it does its job rather nicely, gets me where I want to go, and all that. I just hate it when people get upset because I 'can't load fast enough', even though often times I'm the first one loaded (in game) for some reason...

Cable. I'm not that clever but donload speed = 41 kbps and upload speed = 62 kbps. It suits my very needs. £17.99 a month.

heh, I don't think you mean 41kbs, spaz. 41 kbs is less than your average dial-up connection,
you probably mean 41 KB/s

I dunno if it's expensive or not, since I don't live in the UK. I just though that it probably was, as he mistyped the speed.

I tested on that site and it said my download speed is 1251 kbps and my computer is running slow right now so perhaps add on another 200.

I think it's unlikely that your computers performance would make a difference as significant as that. I downloaded the UT2004 demo (209MB yesterday) and it went at full pelt (70.4 kb/s) the whole way, even when using some resource intensive stuff, the only time it went below is when I opened my directory which is full (to the brim) of random files. It takes about 10 seconds after opening it before you can do anything, and my connection only dropped by 20kb/s, which is about 180kbps.

Still, I doubt your comp was going that slow, I couldn't do anything.

Well i have adsl so maybe that's why it goes so fast. That connection up there is just over 1mbps.
