Guy's I got banned from WN and the server for the chatroom for BTP. Ethe taught me how to change my IP. If you need help do this.

(this is for Win 98 and possibly other systems)

Click on start.
Click on Run
Put this in the box: winipcfg
and click OK

Next:
Click on More Info, Release All and Renew All in that order.
The numbers should change. If they did, you just changed your IP. Yay


Note: If you were on MSN, then you would log out. And the same thing may happen with other messaging services.

That normally only works on certain modems. On others you'll need to change your mac addy, which afaik you cant do unless u get yourself a router.

Yes, it works occasionally, if you're on cable and in a small area (like me), you'll need to stay disconnected for a while, and then reconnect. The best way to do this is to unplug your modem (the power) to disconnect and plug it back in a while later. An hour is good if you don't need the connection for an hour.
