Hey guys, I've looked in many places but can't find an all inclusive guide to making maps. The closest thing was this youtube video which was less than technically sufficient.

I've tried making a few maps but they all give an error when loading in WA. If anyone can guide me in this matter id really appreciate it. thank you in advance.

hey donky, what's up! i will help you with it. okay, u need the MS Paint to draw your maps and Photoshop to optimize it. here is how i do it.

draw your map. the size of map must be divisible by 8x8 like 2096x1960 or any other size but the height and weight must be divisible by 8.

okay.. the map is drawn. next you have to optimize it to make it work in W:A. open Photoshop and follow the steps:

1. open your map
2. click Image->Mode->Indexed color...
3. set the options

palette: local (adaptive)
colors: 74
forced: black and white
uncheck the "transparency" box
dither: none

4. click File->Save As...
5. write the name of map and choose the format PNG (*.PNG)
6. click Save
7. in the window "PNG Options" set Interlace - None and click OK
