it's been a while now that i've been playing when suddenly in mid-game the colors go crazy/ get inverted (whatever) and to fix this I need to close the game and get back in.

someone here had/has a similiar problem?
could anyone please help me out here?

If it happens to WWP too, as you said, it's more difficult to minimize, because you don't have the minimize button. I, ("happy") Win2K user, can minimize it with Windows Task Manager. But you should be careful: don't crash the game! It's a super-hard technique to do with Windows Task Manager.

Edit: I was too lazy to rewrite "Windows Task Manager", so i abbreviated it with WTM. Now it looks like spam, so I put back the normal name. HAPPY EVERYONE????
