Hey guys I have a problem. I really want The Fiddler to work, but I can't get it to. It says in the readme that I should patch the game with Silkworm 4.12a. I did that but it seems that it doesn't work. It should probably popup a screen then when you run W:A it should popup another screen letting you choose some options. But I never get to that point. Please, can you help me?
BTW, when I run the Silkworm patch from command prompt it says: "Cannot find DXMfc.dll" but I put the patch in the W:A directory. WTF is wrong?!
And if you know the solution, please upload the patched files. I'm using version 3.6.28.0 of W:A.

you need to use version 3.0 of W:A.

(i think, i dont remember the patch number before ßeta2 patch)

All you really need is a fresh install of W:A. Silkworm is just there to aid with the slow as hell, buggy menus.

Thanks guys but I have another problem too.
When i put v3.0.0.0 it also says that DXMfc.dll cannot be opened.
BTW, on v3.0.0.0 i can't even start the game because it asks the CD and I have the image loaded. It works instead of CD on later versions but on v3.0.0.0 it doesn't work with CD, image not even both.
And the Silkworm isn't what bothers me, it's The Fiddler.
I mean, in the readme says that if I have v3.0.5.0 or anything higher, I should put old v3.0.0.0 WA.EXE.
And v3.0.0.0 WA.EXE is the one that I can't run.
I'm really confused because I have 5 EXE's in the folder (some work but without Fiddler, one fails the CD-check and one says that it's not supported on Windows NT: the v1.0.0.0).

I would really appreciate if you somehow get The Fiddler to work then send me the EXE and the DLL, if you actually get it to work.

BTW, I have slow like hell, buggy menus in WWP, but Silkworm can't fix that, right? I don't even have DXMfc.dll in WWP's folder. It's probably only in W:A.

Well, I had WA 3.0 mounted, and it worked.
Note: I've the USA version

The US version I think is 3.5, fresh out of the box.

rly? I had no idea. Well, first time I installed WA (without patch) and I hover my mouse into WA logo, I saw: Worms Armageddon: Version 3.00

There is a good thread that gives step by step directions for the Fiddler on the T17 forums. It should still be there. Also there's a way to play it online. I don't recall there ever being any good instructions on doing that though.

Maybe that's the problem.
I have the EU version, and in the readme it also says (for v3.0.0.0): "If the CD-check fails after this, get the US version." or something like that.
I will find the US EXE somewhere and hope it works with the rest of files from the EU version...
It should be somewhere on T17's official site.

Shit I can't find it there. It looks like the patch does only need to be installed on EU version, and there is no patch for the US version. In the readme is probably reffered to v1.0 EXE of US version.

Please, can somebody upload the v1.0 of US version somewhere? I'll be VERY grateful, especially if it works.

NVM, guys, I've found a cracked NoCD version of v3.0.0.0. It even has Silkworm on it! The Fiddler says that it patched the game. Still, I can't start the game. I mean, the menu works, but when I select "Start the game", the screen goes black and nothing happens. Weird and funny.

Also there is something named WA300.COM that should actually BE the NoCD patch. I ran that and it said it patched WA.EXE. Still, black screen is what I get. If you think of a solution, please post it here. I'm much closer to getting it work.

YAY! IT WORKS!
This is how i got it to work:
1. downloaded cracked NoCD + Silkworm WA.EXE
2. renamed it to 30.EXE
3. started the Fiddler
4. it works!
It worked when I selected the "Fix Windows 2000/XP mouse wheel bug" and "Disable fading between full-screen dialogs", but I think only one of them is vital for it to work.

If someone has the same problem as I did, e-mail me and I will send you step-by-step instructions, along with all files needed.

I transformed zook into mine launcher, made impact bombs, gave bomb fuse to napalm strike, made mortar's clusters homing and, of course, empowered everything a lot.
But the best thing is green water.

oh i have W:A Europe Version or what it was 3.0 running on my old Win95 computer. i bought the "best" hardware for the pc and its awesome to work with the fiddler!

Actually, I don't know what version do I have. I only know it's 3.0.

As I said, I downloaded it from a site for cracks, by the file name W:A v3.0.0.0. FIXED EXE/NoCD.
