Space invaders. Always found pacman a bit dull tbh.
Chuckie egg is better anyway.

Space Invaders all the way, Pacman lacks skill and the tension built nicely with all those rows slowly descending in Space Invaders.
I remember playing it on an arcade cabinet in what must've been 1996 when we moved to New Zealand for a bit. There was a 4 month period where we travelled around south island and it was at this hostel in the middle of nowhere whilst it pissed down like mad that I came across it. For some fortunate reason I didn't need to put money in to play...I managed to get a high score on in 7th place leaving the initials 'POP' behind as we left the next day. One of my fondest gaming memories for sure, so you can understand why Pacman would fail to get my vote

I know exactly why
I dunno really. I haven't played Space Invaders in years, and I really like Pac-Man Championship Edition.
I'ma go for Space Invaders.

I'll have to go with Pac-Man I guess. It's a kinda boring game to play, but the characters are more inspiring and interesting. Even the playing field inspires people... I've played quite a cool track on Trackmania which was shaped like the Pac-Man level.

Both games were masses of fun, but I always found space invaders fairly irritating after a while, whereas I could play pacman until my fingers dropped off.
The game pacman, that is.

I wasn't around for this era, but I have played both in the video-arcade in my time. They are equally entertaining in my opinion, though the Nintendo 64 remake of Space Invaders kicked ass.
