You are here cuz you <b<can't host a game in W:A or WWP, and you hope how to fix this problem is written here. I don't know if this fix will work with all computers or with WWP. These are just the things I do to fix my problems.
In this thread, we don't talk about internet security. You have to forward many ports and have to turn off all your firewalls to make sure, you CAN host. But, let's start.
After every step you can try to host a game. Find a player who wants to join and host a game.
1. Turn off firewalls
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
If you are using the windows firewall, turn it off. Im currently using Windows Vista so i can't explain how to do that in XP. Click on "Start>Control Panel>Security>Turn on/off Windows firewall>Inactive". A german pic is seen in the spoiler:

Close the window and the control panel.
If you have a router, turn of his firewall too. You do that with the router configuration program.
Open a new internet explorer window/tab and enter "192.168.2.1" (without "
as URL. If the program wont open, try the url given in the router manual.
Find the option "firewall" and "turn off". On the Speedport w700v youll find the feature here:

Now, try to host a game.
2. Forward ports
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
I don't know if you have to forward all of these ports, i had success with only 80 and 17010 to 17012, but first, try all.
To forward ports, find the options in the router configuration program again. Maybe its in "NAT/Portrules" or "Port Forwarding". Speedports german pic:

http://88.198.45.22/pic/d/dr-chat/thread04.jpg" />
<img alt="Port Forwarding 2" src="

If you found a window like ^ this one ^, activate the rule and enter in TCP-Ports "80, 17010-17012" and same to UDP. Save the rule and try to host.
If that wont help, add the following ports: 4661-4662, 4711, 20514, 42188 for TCP.
4665, 4672, 20524, 47442 for UDP.
3. Configure Worms-Settings
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
At last, you have to configure worms to host games. Start Worms, click on the network button and then on "Configuration". Set all options to this:

Done!
4. If you can't host now...
Spoiler (Click to Expand)
1. Make sure a player tried to join.
2. Make sure there is no other software firewall installed and running.
3. Check, if you really actived the port forwarding-rules.
4. Clear the field "Your I.P. address" in the Worms configuration.
5. Do not use proxy etc.
6. Make sure you have the latest WA update (WWP? Pfff...)
If i find any other solutions to fix hosting problems ill host them here! If you have questions, email me (see my profile).
