Thank you for your undying journalism, Shirdel.
It does sound good, but all I really want is the next Worms game for PC!

Unfortantly, I don't think there will be another Worms PC game. But all Mobile holders with Internet and all Handheld console holders (PSP&DS) will be lucky because it's going to be released in July/August 2007! Until then, best watch the trailer. you can watch it on this URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgJVJZvQy0E ! Well, I'll have information about the Bazooka tomorrow, but until then, you can just go on; http://www.wormsopenwarfare2.com well, see ya!

That's ridiculous. Worms will be around for a long time yet, and I think Team17 has already hinted that there will be another one.

Well, if and when the WA patch 4.0 comes out, it may seem like a new one.

Updates: World War 2 and The Cold War have been announced as terrians. There are now 2 Trailers. Here is the link for Trailer 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLwDtAfwURk And here is the link for Trailer 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okhe8_LaarM You can download maps for WOW2 by going on the Internet with your PSP. There are 3 new Parachute Single Player mini-games announced for the DS. Each mini-game involves something you can't do with the PSP.
I myself wish I had all 3 versions (DS, PSP and Mobile)! But I'm only getting 2 versions for now (PSP & Mobile). Well, I'll have mega updates soon but until then just check out the offical website http://www.wormsopenwarfare2.com or the T17 website http://www.team17.com or the offical THQ website http://www.thq.com or the offical PlayStation website http://www.playstation.com or the YouTube links above for the 2 trailers!

I concur. But, if I can convince my PSP-playing brother to buy WOW, I' will happy all the same
To be perfectly honest I dont think the whole worms idea will actually work on consoles and computers any more powerful than the PSP. The market has changed too much and I dont think anyone, except us, will buy it. Unless Team17 can think of something a little bit new for the game which pitches it forward into the new gaming generation that is...

kikumbob, Worms fans grow and grow and grow and grow!
To explain why, I'll tell you how I became a worms fan: (by the way I won't blame you if you fall asleep reading this midway or not reading it at all)
It all began when my Aunt gave me some old games for my PS1.
Inculding one of those games was the original Worms. Once me and my best mate found out how to use all the weapons (by pressing Select) we found ourselves playing the game almost nonstop. Then my best mate buyed WA for the PS1 and we liked Worms even more. After a while I bought WWP for the PS1. I didn't notice that WA and WWP were almost identical until I brought those games for the PC (we'll get too that later). Then I got my PS2

I hear they're gonna make a movie of that story.

Spoiler (Click to Expand)
(if you don't mind I accidently pressed the enter button)
(part 2) Then I got my PS2 and one of my 1st games for the PS2 was Worms: Forts Under Seige. My best freind liked the gane so much he "borrowed" the game (without asking). Spring 2005: I brought Worms 3D and liked it quite a lot (me and my mate had finished WF:US by then) but my mate didn't like W3D.
July 2005: I brought Worms 4 Mayhem and really really liked it, (my mate didn't until he used the Sentry Gun) My favourite weapon in all of 3D worms is the Alien Abduction.
Then I got my PC, brought W2, WA and WWP at the same time (I played W2 most), Got rid of my PS1 (sound card broke),
got a new Modem, started playing WWP non-stop,
(WA didn't work)
learned the art of roping,
became a member of BTP,
joined NK,
(and left a month later)
got rid of my arch-enemy,
(for now)
and got too where I am right now. Hope you enjoyed it! (you probaly didn't)
(future chapters)
on 13 June, 2007, I brought my PSP and Worms: Open Warfare.
July/August 2007: Worms: Open Warfare 2 is all mine for the PSP and Mobile!
Xmas 2007 or June 2008:
I've got a DS! And WOW2 for ALL consoles it's coming out on
So as you see, I've travelled (and going to travel) A long way in my Worms career.
(over 15 years from now when the Worms series is probaly dead) I carry the story of the Worms to the next (2nd) Generation when I gave my Son (or Sons) my PS2, PS2 controllers,
PS2 and PS1 Memory Card(s), all of my PCs, (didn't have room too tell you about the 1st and 3rd PCs I had)
All my Worms (and other) games,
and I'll tell him too treasure all of that and give it all too his Son, and so on and on and on, So I'll be remembered long after I die, and I'll be able to watch my Son, Grandson, (possibly) Greatgrandson and, (only just possibly) my Greatgreatgrandson
give that enemy worm a whack into the water with those fun and entertaining weapons.
So you see, Worms fans will go on unless
"our World be blown apart, (but until then) We'll strike with all our might, we'll fight for what is right: Till the end."
Edit: post too long, reading it will spoil your day.

I see no point to that story, endearing as it is.
My point still stands.
I wish theyd release the patch a bit faster.

You're the one who started posting off-topic. How you became a Worms fan does not explain anything relevant to how Worms can get more fans. Unless you think more young children should get PS1s?

Now thats just plain daft. I'm skeptical about the PS3 as it is.
