After creating a map and exporting it as a .bit using bitmonkey, when I open up the map in WWP the map moves to the left a bit, I've read that you have to add colour to fix this problem in W:A but I can't figure out how to fix it in WWP since the map is black and white.
Help please

when it says add colour, it doens't mean turn it into a colour map . That advice for W:A would have been written before colour maps were possible in W:A, since the bugwas fixed in one of the patches.
iirc, what you need to do is find a blank part of your map, and put a square there which is filled with a gradient or something which uses lots of colours (there's normally a gradient which uses 'all' of them). Then when you import your map just rub it out again in the editor.

Thanks for the reply, I tried adding a gradient coloured square like you said, exported to .bit with bitmonkey and then when I loaded the map in WWP the square was grayscale and the map still moved. I then tried to import the bmp from inside WWP in the editor and it wouldn't import it at all
Any other ideas?

I wasn't sure that worked in wwp. Your other option I guess is to offset the map in the opposite direction by hand. There may be away to fix it other than that but I really can't remember any.
(also does it look fine in the bitmonkey preview? - I guess it would... just wondering.)
it should appear graysclae in the editor btw. No idea why it wouldn't import though

Yes it looks fine in bitmonkey, I'll see if offsetting will work. Thanks.

There is a bug in WWP that moves the map 16 pixels left as far as I remember. Download Peltzi's (my ) map making pack. It contains a bitmap named Map template. It has a rectangle and if you draw the map inside it, the bug won't cause any problems.

You don't have to ask this on several threads.
And this thread is pretty old.
