Oh my goth! Anyone heard some of the new Dimmu Borgir CD yet (release 8th of sept.)? Holy crap, it's so damn awesome (no cd is safe for the power of the internet!). You really need to download some of the songs (the CD is called Death Cult Armageddon), you will be amazed.
My other favourite bands:
- Enslaved (this band is just amazing, powerful and the songs are so complicated and diverse that it's hard to get bored of).
- At the Gates (Just a real, good metal band)
- Black Sabbath (So diverse, many good songs)
- Falkenbach (Viking metal! makes me happyyy)
- Graveworm (Death metal from Italy, pretty cool songs)
- Old man's child (Just good songs)
- Menhir (Another band focused on the nordic folklore, nice)
- Of the wand & the moon (Nice soft, gentle music for at night).
- Saturnus (this used to be the best doom metal band around, depressing lyrics, but soo beautifull)
- SiebenbĆĀ¼rgen (a black metal band from sweden, pretty dark n gothic, but nice songs)
- Nightwish (pretty decent stuff indeed)
- Therion (great music, metal mixed with opera mainly, all based on extensive knowledge about the occult and ancient religions, also very diverse)
- Eisregen (a nice german band with agressive lyrics in german).
- Empyrium (A german doom metal band, some nice songs, a lot like My Dying Bride).
- Metallica (although i don't listen to them much i have to admit that most of their songs are pretty good).
- Cradle of Filth (creepy, dark, nice).
- Tristania, After Forever, Forlorn, Rainbow, Rush, Elf, Uriah Heep, Subway to Sally, Dover, My Dying Bride, Dark Tranquillity, Behemoth, Stratovarius, Bathory, Sonata Arctica, Celtic Frost and almost any of the scandinavian black metal bands.
P.s. you can download the new dimmu songs from most of the download engines, but it won't be too easy. Or go to www.metalexpress.no and click on jukebox, then click on the dimmu borgir song in the list (Progenies of the great apocalypse).
