To the inexperienced eye, it looks very cool. Perhaps it needs a more curvy style to mirror the wormyness of worms?

Why to the inexperianced eye? If that could be made into a VS it'd be pretty cool (but I kinda dislike the bit surrounding the "worms weapon organizer" text, but that's just me. I'm very picky about what VS I use.

Inexperienced because I have no experience in this sort of programming? E.G. I dont know what a VS is.

Visual style. The style or skin of your windows environment. The ugly blue default skin you're no doubt using. That's a VS.

You can change the VS by using software like styleXP or if you prefer to pay, windows blinds by stardock. Windows blinds costs because what you can do with the skins is so much more advanced. Alpha transparency, aniamtions, lighting, anti-aliasing, poped out areas.

Alternatively, you can use the Neowin uxtheme.dll patcher which basically removed the code within your uxtheme.dll that says "don't let it use 3rd party visual styles, k?". I do this method because it's easier.

Pioneer322 got confused for a bit there as VS = Visual Studio

edit: ok my opinion on screenie: the boxes and all are fine. Adds a nice worms2/fiddler feel to it, it would be wise to take pictures of your UI with your windows shell off so the majority of the population with regular windows color schemes will know what they're actually going to look at

Music: okay as long as it doesnt suck(which is serverely opinionative, if thats even a word), and the off button is a good thing to have

edit2: oh and also, the large green text box. .. would be hard on the eyes to read the text. Maybe.. have that part uncolored?
Or.. suggestion: a tickbox whether(sp) you would want the color scheme of the boxes on or off

You have to be aware, that some XP skins people use can badly, badly clash with the program. Such as text color and such. Like... Things would blend in wrong, the program could have a black button but the XP skin could override making the text black too thus creating a can't-see-the-text button.

FudgeBoy left worms aages ago - before I came back to worms the first time, which was around 2001 iirc. Weird to think it W:A was only like 2 years old at that point. It always seemed like it was longer.

Can't you just choose what font colour is used on the buttons?

You can change the font color on the buttons. But there will always be a skin that has buttons matching the color of the text thus creating invisible text. But you mentioned an msstyle thing. What do you mean? You mean make my own custom style look for my app?
