In your opinion, which game had the lost boss that was hardest to you? Or second last boss. It can be any game from any system. For me, I'll have to say the last boss from Ristar for Genesis, it's one of the those last bosses where you memorize everything or you'll die instantly.
Edit: Oh, and to prove your point, you can post a screenshot... Or something...

Currently that Calkatta thing at the end of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga, you do have to remember her moves and pattern and then she mixes them u. And when they are mixed up they go faster and faster which is a pain in the ass.
You also start the battle with 1 HP each character, and one character dying isn't a good thing at all, because the other one rushes to help him and then they have delayed reactions... HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS.

OK, i did a lot of searching around for this baby - Final Fantasy III Legends for Gameboy. The final boss's name is Xagor.
heres a quote from a boss FAQ from gamefaqs.com for some clearification.
The final and TOUGHEST boss in the game
First of all he has 50,000 HP. The boss before him has 39,000. Xagor has a permament sidekick, that once dies - is resurected by Xagor. Also Xagor changes form randomly and you never know what spell to cast on him.
When I was 10 - playing this game traveling up to Montana, I fought him at least 50 times. after I realized I couldnt beat him I trained up 10 levels which made my guys at level 50. Finally I tried to beat him again. After 10 times of no success, I decided to train some more till level 60 which took forever.
Finally, after 4 tries, and sweating perfusely, Arthur (the main character), delivered the final blow to Xagor. After I played FFL3, I had a new respect for Square-Enix for allowing me to play that long without eating that game with a fork.

I found one boss in my lifetime of gaming that I actually could never beat!
Soul Blade (I believe that was the name. it was something similar anyway) for the SNES was a rather obscure title I played a long time ago and never managed to beat. I got the legendary sword and armor that were needed to kill the final boss, but I could never find out how to actually hurt him. I tried and I tried and I could do nothing. eventually I gave up, but that game still haunts me to this day.

I've defeated all final bosses I actually managed to get to except one from an online game called motherload. The game consisted of digging through mars's core to collect precious minerals that got you money to buy upgrades so that you could dig deeper, faster and for longer. But there was also a side story. I decided to go as far down as I can and stumbled along a random demon dude at the core
I defeated him with my suped up mining machine but then he rose again and kept spamming me with telegrams that I had to hit ok on. There was only a couple of miliseconds of game between telegrams and that was just almost impossible.

Metroid Prime was a bitch to finally beat, but i'd have to say the hardest boss i've ever had to face was(which wasnt a last boss) Bomberman64, dunno the name of it, but it was a jet like thing, and it came right before the last boss which i found to be easier to beat. It was unbelievably tedious seeing as how you couldn't jump :$
Edit: Image! Done 100% legally because I own the game on console.

That's a lie now. A big lie. Easiest Final Boss ever. Killed less than 2 minutes without leveling up.
The hardest boss I ever had to face is...
I dunno . If I beat them all, how can I call them "hard"? Once I beat them once, I can do it another billion times. The hardest guy was probably "Red" from Pokemon Gold and Silver. You had to level up all of your Pokemon to 100 to beat him and I really didn't feel like it. And he really isn't a "Final Boss", but he is the last "Boss" you can fight in that game.

You don't beat the game when you defeat him. That's why he really isn't the final boss. And he's optional. So nyeh.

The only thing I can think of is what I think is the final boss on Far Cry. It's just such a bitch! That Crowe guy, with the cow boy hat, has so much health. I mean, I fire several rockets at the helicopter he's on and even the helicopter is still standing!
I don't know if this is the final boss tho, it seems pretty damn far into the game.
Does anyone know of a good tactis for this guy?

World Of Illusion (starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck) for Sega Mega Drive II - my sister and I got up to the final boss quite a number of times, but I don't remember beating it. Maybe once... maybe I could whoop his ass now, I dunno.

I know, game data shows he has a total of 2000 points of health
First, ignore him and concentrate on his feral soldiers attacking you. Once they're all done for, attack him with the assault rifle and launch a few nades at him. When he hides behind that rock, go for the chaingun mounted on the helicopter.. and go nuts. Eventually a meteor will come down, and unlesh hell.
I never used the rockets on the gunship tho...

I have no idea what you're on about. He's on a helicopter, you're on a boat that you just set a bomb off and it's sinking. And there are no bad guys shooting at you appart from this guy on the helicopter.
