Prince of Persia T2T is even better than the last two! It combines the storytelling of SoT with the fighting of WW, and then adds more fighting so that fighting is de-emphasised.

Yeah that sounds odd, but with the speed kill / enemy AI introduction, the enemies feel a lot less liek endless minions to hack through and more like people to destroy silently and brutally.

However, I don't like the Dark Prince's gameplay segments. Anyone opinions?

This game has had my eye on for the past couple of days on xbox-sky(bit-torrent place), was thinking of getting it... guess i'll get it then! (note: would it be wise to play the past titles?)

Yeah, it is nessesary to play the previous ones I think. I can get through both of them in like 4 days. Real simple stuff. I hope the next one is a good challange like Pop-3D or the original.

PoP sucks ass because of TWW [2nd one]. It couln't be finished, it was glitched so it couldn't be completed.

I sat around playing it, wondering around the cave for hours and couldn't do shit. Asked the guy in the shop and he said it was how it ends.
The game was made wrong and couldn't be completed.

Eh what are you talking about? I finished it, with extreme, EXTREME ease!

You probably just got so lost and so annoyed at the whole backtracking thing you gave up, or couldn't see where to go with terrible camera angles.

TWW was so straightforward, it was hard to miss a lever that opens the next door, and finding paths over any obstacles just required a little bit of observation. Applies to the caves part aswell.

It wasn't polished as well as Sands of Time was, but still, over the whole course of gameplay i never noticed any serious bugs aside from rare visual model clashes. There was not a single bug that could put me off playing it at any time - and i completed it twice on hard, with both of the 2 endings (forgot one of those secret rooms the first time).

You're right that things were so incredibly straight forward, I laughed at my friends who found it difficult. But the camera angles are terrible and alot of blind jumps are made.

I attempted to try it in hard mode after complteing it in normal a few months after but go so amazingly bored and disliked the forced backtracking, I just gave up.

The only bug I see is the really, really terrible dialoug.

I just got the game today, and ran into two major dissapointments.

First, all of the non-US versions of the game have violence cut out. Blood is absolutely minimal - you only see it when you hit something, and it's just a few pixels. And the gore - the gore is COMPLETELY absent! When you decapitate an enemy, he just dies and falls to the ground - no traces of decapitation, head intact, next to none blood. You can cut enemies in half, decapitate them, slice their legs off, but the "chopped off" bodypart stays on the enemy and his corpse once your sword goes through, and aside from those few pixels of red during attacking, nothing tells you you've as much as HIT the enemy, not to mention FINISHED him off! That's a straight dissapointment after the kickass combat and awesome decapitations in TWW - in that game, you just wanted to react faster and press those few additional buttons just to see a spectacular sight of an enemy chopped in half.

I didnt like the game because the camera got me frustrated since they dont have custom controls let alone invert the Y axis. NEED INVERTED Y.

The second prince of persia is a breeding centre for bugs on the PC. My brother's save was completly unfinishable and he had to start again (something about a large box being on the wrong side of the bridge.)

I have to admit I gave up on the second prince of persia trying to beat the emperess of time. It was just too hard But i did have fun with it. The first was much better, however.

So I think what I will do is wait until my brother finds out about it and buys it. That way I have nothing to lose

From the looks of it, T2T got only 3 major bugs - camera shivering, and direction change - the prince will face the camera when moving forward and stopping, which is *highly* annoying and can screw you over plenty. The most annoying one is, complete sound desynch in *all* cutscenes - you hear the dialog and sounds for the whole sequence in the first few seconds, then the rest of the scene goes without it.

As for playing as the Dark Prince, it is pretty fun, actually - you have to hurry all the time, or else you die. The bad thing being, the dark prince has only a few combos - they're too easy to master, so you'll be killing everything in seconds soon after you get it. And it has charriot races. Mmmm, ponies...


P.S.
The US PC version is the one with the gore - the xbox doesn't have it either. The PC versions also have both custom keyboard and custom gamepad controls, whichever flocks yer boat. Also, it allows you to invert the mouse properly. Convert to the pcside!

Second prince of persia? With the empress of time? No. Price of persia 2 doesn't have that.
You know, the second 2D game, then there was prince of persia: 3D. So TWW is the 5th PoP.

I played PoP SOT on GCN, and felt that it beat PoP WW by a mile.

I also played PoP WW on GCN, and I felt the combat was improved, but not much.

I am playing PoP T2T on PC, and holy crap, it kicks ass. No glitches yet, though I do feel the camera wobbles sometimes. I think thats because I'm using mouse / keybd and the game was clearly designed for analog sticks.

PoP WW Glitches:
-You can jump past a wall at one part, but its useless
-I can't get the one life upgrade I missed, the gate is down, it should be up.
-There was a /potential/ glitch that could make you unable to complete the game - I havent experianced it.
-The cliffs camera sucked ass.

PoP T2T:
-I found the easter egg myself
-It actually took me about 5 minutes just before (I belive) the first chariot race to figure out how to open the gate. And thats suprising - I too sped through the first section of T2T having just come off of WW.
-THE INTERNAL MONOLOUGE (well, dialouge now)_ IS BACK FROM SoT! YAY!

I was talking about Warrior Withing not the second one. I didnt mean that. Its just I think of it as the second one because I was only introduced to the prince of persia by The Sands of Time.
