Then they'll probably release a patch like they did for XP if it's like that.
Worms will never die!

I hope that Long Horn isnt worse than XP.
Because some of my friends say that XP is worse than 98 for the fact its more infectable by trojans, virus and such stuff
I hope they are lying
Well, it's more infectable because your friend is a retard. If he actually manages to get all those, he has to be.
Don't download retarded things.
You mean warez and hacking tools, right?

I think that the differences in reliability and performance between two computers both with 64 ram; one running Windows 98 and the other one running Windows XP is much easier to understand because Windows XP's minimun Ram requirements is 64MB of Ram and Windows 98's minimun requirement is 8 MB of Ram. So if you install the same OS in one computer with 64MB of ram it is much better to install Windows 98 than XP. That's the problem microsoft has been facing because, in spite of its program and file management , visual improvements in Windows XP, Windows 98 requires less computer resources to run.
So the objective of Win. Longhorn is to compatibilize both features of both Operating Systems, I think that the new Longhorn will have a brand new hard drive formatting system which may cause compatibility problems on old programs. Well I hope that they do their best to bring us a better operating system, althought all this information I continue to like windows xp operating system rather than other unstable operating systems. I dont know why a lot of my friends say that windows 2000 is the best operating system.
C1 ur right windows xp is much secure than older operating systems.
When I changed from 98 to XP, I found XP to be infinitely better! In 98, I would get crashes all the time due to installed software clashing and all kinds of things, but now XP really only crashes when there's a hardware problem. XP is just fine, it handles programs much better.
you're right i guess when I used windows me some time ago it worked perfectly in my computer and in XP it slowed down i also agree that XP handles programs much better cuz thats why I changed to XP.Guess my computer might not be able to use Longhorn :S

By downloading anything from the internet, you're always risking. The level of risk depends on where you download it from - if you expect safe software from p2p or warez networks, you are retarded.
Also note one thing - Microsoft does not aim to make the OS work on old hardware. It drives the technologies forward - since it makes non-gamer users upgrade their computers, buy and support new hardware. This is a good thing, if you think about it,

Worms will never die!
I just clicked properties and changed the capability doing that. My worms works mostly fine...except that the map editor doesn't work with SP2.
Should I download this "XP Patch" then? Would that fix the map editor bug?

I always download illegal programs. I haven't gotten a virus. However, I'm usually VERY CAREFUL when doing so. Since a lot of them are viruses.

Lucky...
I almost never downloaded things from warez sites, and when i did, I got a trojan...
However that doesnt happen to me in P2P

Didn't you do that anyways? I should at least try it then update it again with the latest patch.
Then I'm guessing you'll have no problems at all then

The only SchemeWorks error people get is when the directory it points to is gone. Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Schemeworks folder from the registry and it should be fixed
