Well, the whole point of having it at that time and day is so that the most people possible could be available for the tourney. They can't just move the date to satisfy the needs of the few.

Well, I don't know about an official rrkit tourney, but you can sometimes find tourneys over at the first-blood forums.

As Glenn pointed out, the numbers decide which day it's done.
Saturday seems best, since there's no school that day or the next day.

However, you're free to host one yourself
And there are several communities that host tourneys (fb, as mentioned, cl2k sometimes)

Also, there should be an announcement regarding new worm olympics soon (OMGOMGOMG)
Not sure yet how we're gonna do it yet though Probably gonna let the mods pick their own date themselves this time (making a schedule is a pain, having to take every mod's available time in consideration)
