both versions will suck. No online play, god knows how bad the map editor will be. It will be fun for the missions the 1st week, then its garbage material :p

They may not have online play but there will be Wi-Fi gaming on both consoles.
And of course the map editor will be poo, but thats why people who create maps on the PC, can use the PSP's cable and transfer them across

I'm doubting it'll have a map editor of any form, but it's using a map generator that's on par with the one that will be in W4. In other words, you'll never run out of maps to play on.

As for online play, that's a publisher decision, not a developer one.

it's both really - publisher has to approve, and the devs will actually have to make it.

No, it's definately a publisher decision. The publisher has to decide whether or not to make it. If they say no, the developer can't make it. If they say yes, the developer MUST make it.

Publisher/Developer relations are not the same as boss/worker relations.

If a publisher is trying to drive the game in a direction the devs dont like, they can pack up and find a new publisher. You ever hear of book publishers telling authors that they have to have a chapter about a puppy in their book?

What if you can't find a new publisher? And, furthermore, what if the publisher decides on that near the end of the project? After a certain amount of time, you're committed.

1.4 :: Will it be featured on other platforms? (e.g Xbox, PS2)

RWS has no plans for this development! And they also don't reject the idea. One step at the time! ;)

Now thats ones for the books

That has to do with a breach of agreement. You also have to consider that even if a breach of agreement that would allow for such a termination were to occur (hint: requiring or denying online play isn't one of them), Team17 doesn't have the funds to self-publish a game anymore.

Like Glenn said

Its just a funds subject.

If you have enough funds you can always leave your publisher, but if you dont have enough, you just have to fuck yourself off and accept the conditions of your company

Case in point, Team17 added multiple controller support to Worms4. Afterwards, Codemasters told them to take it back out. It was taken back out.
