Hi all!
SmartFTP has recently been freezing up on me, and to re-download it, i'd be forced to wait over a half hour due the supre fast download speed of 3 kb/s.
So, I've come to you, my loyal ...ummm... people, what client do you use? Whats the most stable? And whats that on your face?

ws_FTP LE, some people like it, others don't. I use it so it can't be that bad.

Cute FTP is perhaps the most stable, WS FTP is reasonably stable, it has crashed occasionally but only when I click exit before it's finished disconnecting and weird things like that. I use WS_FTP when I wanna upload to my site, since it's easy for quickly logging in and uploading the recently updated files. I use Cute FTP if I happen to be downloading a big file, since the WS_FTP I have can't resume as far as I know. If I'm copying a file to my university account to back it up or something then I'll often just use Internet Explorer.

I've used WS FTP before, damn icons liked staying on the desktop. Now I just use IE, it works fine for me.

ie doesn't work for things that you need to CHMOD though, as far as I remember. They're only accounting for windows servers in that.

no icons? thats weird. you could just get rid of explorer.exe and it would just show your background like a framed picture on the wall.

or you could just drag the startbar to be 0 lines tall, or turn the startbar onto auto-hide. It's not that weird that there are no icons - I never use the icons on the desktop, any icons I want are all on my quicklaunch bar
