Once again, I need help with choosing a good program. (We should really make a kill app list or something).

I need a program that can cut and mix songs together for a music project. Legal prefribable, although *coughcough*. Thanks in advance. Your help will be rewarded with £160BTP.

I've heard good things about this program, and it's a bit more intuitive than the other freeware editor out there.

http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/

You, of course, want the free version.

I think EJay can only use the inbuilt samples, not sure.

I'll try that one out latter Glenn.

eJay allows for importing of samples but only a limited amount of seconds. It's not ideal for music mixing.

Try MixMeister, not sure if it has a free trial though.

Audacity and WavePad are the two main sound editors. WavePad is a bit more Window-sy than Audacity, making it a bit easier to use for the casual editor. Really, it's all a matter of preference, since they both do basically the same thing.

Try GoldWave, it's not free, but you can do everything with it with the trial version,
