Ok, ok. I know i started a Final Fantasy thread a long time ago so it would seem logical to delete this one. But, hear me out (or read). I want to know why it is, if you do, that you love these games so much. So go ahead and tell us why you absolutely adore the games and feel free to comment and elaborate on other people's ideas.

I think, for me, i like the games so much is the epicness of the games. Saving the world never gets old for me. Especially if you're facing a big whale like thing or the creator of the worlds itself, it just makes me feel incredible. Also, the characters and the plots are usually brilliant.

Anyhow, i'll let someone else say something now.

we can't see the sarcasm tags there (he did put them in), but really, there was nothing wrong with what they said . You start a poll, you expect people's opinions. Those are them.

I also found what I've seen of the final fantasy games a tad boring, but I've not seen much, it has to be said

Final Fantasy 9 was the first one I played, and I loved it I didn't play many after it though; I've only played 3 (you purists can just deal with my referring to it as 3), 8, 9, and Tactics Advance. But I enjoy the series as a whole.

Like Pio, annihilation is my preferred activity. Although I'm best suited on a console since really the only FPS PC games I've played a bit are Unreal Tournament (you don't get much experience from bots) and Ultimate Doom (it's not true 3D, and doesn't require the quick wit that Counter-Strike would). I need to practice with the keyboard and mouse before I walk around in Doom3 on the hardest difficulty killing everything without breaking a sweat

I feel that Final Fantasy X and X-2 brought the franchise down quite a bit. There was already a bit of a downturn due to the shear lack of difficulty popping up in the games. I hope that FF XII makes up for it.

I like them, because I like RPGs. Final Fantasy was the gateway to RPG'ing for me, and it got me into all kinds of other RPGs, like Wild Arms, Dragon Quest, and Arc the Lad. The stories are usually good (though they make plot holes everywhere, except for FF VI). The gameplay is usually good, but once again, FF X brought that down quite a bit.

Also, the hidden bosses (once AGAIN, not including FF X and FF X-2) are really, FRIGGEN, HARD. At least the first time through the game.

arcbeetle: there aren't really sarcasm html tags, its just me being silly
Thats a good summary Glenn, however, i really like X myself, but X-2 was a let down. I can't wait for XII, especially if we see some of the races from Tactics in there. It's been a while since a proper Final Fantasy has been out so its got a lot to live up to.

Also, its not to say that i don't like games with guns and explosives, i just have fallen in love with the FF series. In fact, VII was the first Playstation game i've ever played. I never got far though.

I think he was being silly :p it's just hard enough as it is to get tone of voice in text without the added problem of not being too well versed in english.
Unfortunately I have nothing to add to the rest of the conversation.

Nine is my favourite and I think it's good. If you want the game to be harder, FIND THE SECRETS in the game. Such as in nine, where you can find the alternate ending hammer.

Final Fantasu sucks. Too slow. I'm too impatient for them games. I prefer a good ol' shoot 'em up, and more realistic games, such as Spider-Man . I can't wait till Ultimate Spider-Man comes out .
