Well, it's official, Team17 is handling a new title, that is not a Worms game. However, the idea has been done before. I bet alot of you remember playing this game in the heyday of PCs. So, here we go... Team17 is developing Lemmings for the PSP!

I don't like PSP, although the idea sounds seksi.

I don't like the idea of paying over $200 for a gameboy, with a small storage of music.

I never played any "Lemmings" game, what type of game is it (genre or whatever)?

It's a puzzle game. You have to get your lemmings from the start to the exit without killing them. You can give them jobs (EG Build a staircase, Dig downwards) to help you get them to the exit.

It was available as a flash game on some site until 2 or 3 days ago, but the owner got a cease and desist order due to copywrite
Edit: you can still play it here for now: http://193.151.73.87/games/lemmings/
**Rant**
On another note, since when were these forums a Team17 fanboy hangout? Is Team17 doing their job really worth an announcement here? I mean, it has nothing to do with worms, nothing to do with us, and it'll probably suck. I don't see why you still support Team17 so much when they have not released a good title since 1998. We don't post announcements when Ubisoft or anyone else announce a new game, even though it'll undoubtedly be better than whatever lame rubbish Team17 release, so drop the Team17 fanboy act.

Why don't you post news announcements for them then Meia? Speaking from experience, it doesn't matter whether anyone thinks a game is good or not, and it's up to each individual to determine that for themselves. I didn't like W3D that much, but I do like WFUS. And, since we havn't seen the W4 demo yet, we don't know whether it will suck, and we don't know whether Lemmings will suck either since there isn't a playable demo in existance yet.
But, for your own stubornness, dropped from an announcement to a sticky.
News post from Spadge:
Good news from E3:
PSP Worms/DS Worms announced
Team17 to do Lemmings for PSP
Team17 working with Microsoft/360
Team17 working with Epic/Unreal3 tech
Team17 secure a US publisher for W4 (announcement soon)
New game concept shown to publisher with great response/interest (annoucement sooner or later)
All that and we're about to work on Alien Breed again... pretty lively times at the moment. I did say we'd been busy....
*Points at Alien Breed finally getting done*

Strange this. I was only just 2 days ago playing Lemmings online because I got a hankering for it out of the green...

We havn't seen the PC demo yet. I know about the Xbox demo. And I know that it plays very well, much better than W3D ever did.
