I've had a bit of a search re Trymeia and it seems I might be stuffed but thought I'd ask the question anyway in case there is a relatively new solution...

I downloaded the Trymedia version of worms last night (paying $20) which comes with the 3.0.5.0B patch. Unfortunately this means I can't play online as its too old.

Is there any way to get a new patch working on the Trymedia version without the "please insert CD" problem?

Unfortunately the answer looks like no, although I don't think anyone with a trymedia version has posted here.

If you could find somewhere to get the original version, it would only cost about 10USD, although your whois seems to reckon you're from dubai? I'd imagine it could be harder to find a real version there.

Deadcode might at least try to fix it for the trymedia versions if there is enough support in the patch forum @ team17, but it may well be more complicated than just the CD issue.

I'm not really from Dubai... from the UK, but I'm working out here on business for a month and wanted to play with my friend back home whilst away. So I joined the site and got the game etc... Doesn't seem like there's much I can do about it then until I get back to UK and can buy the original game.
