I haven't been around the worms community in a while. I'm wondering what happened to JoE's website? Did the web address change or was it shut down? If just the addy changed can someone please give me the new one? Thanks.

It appears that it has indeed been killed off. I searched google, and it still returns that address :/.

well the reason I asked is because I have a friend who wants to get W:A. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is W:A legal to download now? I am under the impression that copyrights on video games expire in 5 years. Since W:A was released in 1999, it's free to download now right? If so, can someone please give me a link to get it, thanks. If it's illegal still... never mind

lol, copyright expiry is funny. Copyrights never expire - you dont forfeight the right to something you made after a period of time.

I thought Team17 made Worms 2 legal to download in 2003 because the copyright had expired and they didn't want to pay to renew it. Why did they make it a free game?

If Worms 2 is free to download, give me the link please.
Been searching for it for ages.

Team17 was asked about this soon after this supposed expiration, and they firmly denounced it. The big clue was that the "announcement" was on a KaZaa advertisement...
Edit: It's not free. The version that was SUPPOSED to be on Kazaa was a focus test demo, but because you can give files the run-around pretty easily, people started to upload the full W2 version instead.

And, actually, you technically lose rights to copyright after 50 years. It falls into the public domain then.

I believe this varies from country to country then, as the last i heard was that copyright expires 30 years after the death of the original author. 50 year expirsy is dumb, if a person is still alive they should be able to claim any rights as the original author.

Who cares about piracy. Go download it off kazaa or something..

I've tried that myself and came up with a really buggy, and trojan'd verson of it..
So I baught it off T17 for ... $19 in that big pack of W;a WWP, and W2 with a WB demo all in one.. I was happeh

Are you having a laugh? I never download pirate software.
As I told HarrY a while ago, nothing on my PC is downloaded, cracked or anything.
