Define cheating.

If the thing you say is cheating is something that anyone can do whenever, then its just another strategic element in the game. e.g. everyone can make their worm jump, and so make them jump over obstacles.

If the thing you say is cheating is something that only one or two people know about and can do it, then yes it is. E.G. if only one person knew how to jump in worms, that would make it very unfair.

There are exceptions, say if the element is very annoying. E.G. everyone had unlimited concrete donkeys in worms but it still wouldnt be classified as cheating.

My conclusion- not cheating.

In a race your opponent can punch you in the face and kick you over. I would say that's cheating..but everyone knows how to do it..

Now as usually kikumbob will tell everyone that's not what he means.

Thats not what I mean. In a race punching and kicking are against the rules. In a game there are no rules against screen watching, or jumping worms. No rules say you cant type in a funny code to get unlimited money or ammo. And everybody can do it. Therefore, screen-watching is not cheating, just annoying.

Utter bollocks *excuse french*

Typing in a code to get unlimited ammo, etc is called a cheat, therefore is cheating.

Screen-watching is cheating cause your watching your opponents moves so you can win easily.

Dammit Runt believe it or not its not what I meants. Ok, yes it is cheating if you type in a code to get what ever and is frowned upon or whatever. But I meant the concept of cheating is basicly something that is either against the rules or just plain unfair to others.Screen watching is not unfair to other because they can also do so if they wish.

But I see no one understands me so I'm prepared to give up pon the whole idea.

Anyway, I still think screen watching isnt cheating.

I did that once, while Playing Goldeneye on the N64.
Connected it to 2 TV's in 2 rooms, covering up the opponents half

If you're all playing on the same screen then screenwatching is part of the game, not cheating.

But if you're playing on different screens then you should have the screens positioned so other people can't see them (not always possible I guess). If other people can see your screen then they can cheat, but it should be up to you to hide your screen I think.

ive also done this.

although a less extravagant method was to disable/ tape over the radars so that opponents claiming "I saw you on the radar" were less likely

I thought XBox live was where you played with others over the net. Do you mean system link?

That might be it. I always play and my friend's house. We have like 2 or 3 tvs and play against each other. I just assumed we were on X-Box live..So I never asked him otherwise.

Well, you could both be on Xbox live, but I doubt it. The big clue would be if there are more people playing than there are people at the house. If the numbers are the same, you are most definately playing a system link game.

It does sound more like a LAN (system link) game.
What would be the point of XBox Live! when you're all in the same room?

Edit: That is that you are all in the same room of course
