Ofcourse, this is not porn
My bro was watching Cartoon Network few days ago, and I watched it with hime for few seconds, and then I got pissed
There was cartoon, called Tom&Jerry, you know, cat and mouse.
And kids all over the world watch it, and nobody came up with idea how violent is it.
I dont have nothing against violence, but, cartoon where mouse take hummer and blow cat's head with it isnt violence, and when I took my M16 in GTA and kill 50 people it is
It sucks
GTA is forbidden in Australia and some other countries, not only for <18 ages. Same thing with game called Postal.
And LOTR:Return of the King is only for 13+
And stupid cartoons everybody can watch
I hope all of you understood what I wanted to say
Earth sucks...

they have very strict censorship laws over there, also strict immgration laws - but thats another matter.
As for tom & jerry being violent, get a life mate.

Well, it's true. Cartoon creators have said it numerous times themselves, "Cartoons were not initially made for children, they were made for adults." Thus, why all the violence is in cartoons (today it gets put off as "animated violence" which apparantly isn't as bad). Children just ended up liking them in the end. That's why alot of cartoons today lack in the comical violence part, because they're now actually geared toward children.

"...and prey theres intelligent life somewhere out in space because theres bugger all down here on earth" -monty python sings; Galaxy Song
And Id agree with that. But ive never actually looked at cartoons like you just have. And its a very petty view. But I suppose if my child jumped out from behind a table and hit me with a drainpipe I wouldnt be criticising anyone.

Postal 2 is the most violent game EVER.
You can cram your shotgun up a cat's ass and use it as a scilencer, but i've only ever played the demo .

IMO tom&jerry isn't very violent, and GTA is.
Earth sucks...
Yes it does, it's called gravity.

I wouldn't say GTA and Tom & Jerry are in the same league talking about violence. GTA is more realistic. Glenn does have a point though.

The people in the game DIED. You shot them with an ACTUAL available weapon ( or similar )
The cartoon involves ANIMALS. They DO NOT die.
If you cant see the diffirence. It is actually YOU who sucks.

This doesnt make sense as Tom and Jerry have been on air for So long! the violence is what makes these cartoons so great and if you don't see that, well then i guess yer raped as a child
jk ;p but really, complaining about games and movies having animated violence that clearly has the R rating are restricted for kids. If they were to block anything that conserned violence in movies/games/ cartoons, the person who thought of the whole idea would be beaten in the head with a shoe ;o

Violence in games, or cartoons, really doesn't effect anyone outside of America. Even in America, it really isn't an issue, compared to, say, guns. Fictional violence encouraging real violence is really just a myth, and people who endorse this belief do not deserve the air they breathe.

Tom and Jerry was the best thing about TV when i was growing up. I hardly ever watch TV now, alot of it imo is rubbish.

Tom and Jerry was the best! Always used to watch it (still do sometimes).
My favourite was when he gets drunk and sobres up about 3 or 4 times in one episode.

he has a point that T&J are so incredibly violent, yet they are rated as a show for even the youngest kids. I agree it's not on the same level as GTA is, but if kids can watch fictional violence like that, people SHOULD stfu about video game violence.
yes, tom and jerry are on a much smaller scale, but its watched by much smaller people.

I agree. I hate when people (people who haven't grown up with games and violent cartoons) blame games like GTA and CS when some sick guy grab a gun and shoot people in the street. Hopefully this will have an end when these people have died and we are at their age.
