Well, the next worms game has been announced but yet no release date.
But from what we have seen so far.. what do you think?

Will you buy it or not? I will. But what I have seen, I'm convinced that this will be better than the other 3D ones.

If I'd a decent PC maybe I'd get a PS2 or Xbox, but to do that without scraping for pennies I'd have to sell my Gamecube. I couldn't do that... every time I go and say I'm gonna do it, I have to remind myself "no more Nintendo characters. No Metroid Prime or Paper Mario." That's what always gets me in the end. The Ninty has taken my soul.

Um... on topic, I'm not sure if I would. After the disappointing piece of work that Worms 3D was, I've all but lost faith in any other 3D incarnation.

Demo will tell alot.

It looks promising. I just wish I had a better pc, because it's probably going to go well beyond my capabilities.
As for it being just like Worms 3d, they've spent over a year fixing the problems with 3d. I'm fairly certain that it will work out much better.

Here's a nice addition to the gameplay that has been released. The old woman is now steerable and can jump too. So, now it will actually be USEFUL in 3d. If that isn't an improvement, I don't know what is.

I think I'm going to get it.

I enjoyed w3d so i'm defiantly going to get this one as well. I'll try the demo first.

Heh, I'm not the only one then who enjoyed 3D.
WF: US I thought was good but the games on it were a bit long winded and took ages to finish.

At least with this one it 's like W3D, won't take as long to finish a game.

They really have to play their cards right on this one and get some good feedback. People who aren't as much interested in games may pick it up and say, "Oh. A rehash of Worms 3D. Pfft." And put it back. I can't really say why I didn't like W3D much. I just sorta lost interest in a short time. Maybe in the physics, maybe in the roping axis (in my "nothing but Shoppa" period), maybe the fact that GC refuses to go online, I dunno. We'll have to wait and see.

Well, as for demos, there will be a demo released in the near future, and an online enabled demo released about a week before it hits stores.

Well, T17 managed to screw the online play of already 2 games in a row(neither W3D, nor WFUS were playable online at all for the first 2-3 months after release), so don't expect to get to play online in W:M right away ...

Overall, i think Worms:Mayhem looks nice. W:A had so huge success because you can say that both the community and the developers were working on the game - now with the team activly responding to all suggestions and questions once again, we can expect the same

They didn't screw up the online play, GameSpy screwed it up. When Team17 tested the online play before releasing the game, it came out just fine. After release, it went to hell. However, the sub-patch that was in the TryMedia version of WFUS (and there will be an official release later) is much more stable on WormNet.

This just shows that GameSpy is a pile of w**k.
I never liked the program anyway, I couldn't connect to any of the game servers there.
So I chucked it.
